    About CBNL

Higher capacity, greater flexibility, increased cost savings - the leading licenced point-to-multipoint solution has just got smarter.

Cambridge Broadband Networks (CBNL) is the global market leader in licenced point-to-multipoint (PMP) microwave and millimeter wave solutions.

CBNL’s new range of FCC PMP solutions are faster to deploy and up to half the cost for a licensed high capacity link compared to point-to-point.

The result is a rapid ROI and transformation tower capacity of up to 13.2Gb/s.

    Why choose licenced PMP?

    The market-leading licensed PMP solution

The most cost effective path to multiple gigabit per second hub capacities - whether for backhaul (macro and small cell), fixed wireless (to the home and the enterprise), utility company networks or smart cities.

VectaStar delivers the optimum balance of price and performance:

High capacity: 550Mb/s per link and up to 13.2Gb/s per tower/hub site

Range: 26-28GHz: up to 5 miles at 99.99% (typical), 39GHz: 1-3 miles at 99.99% (typical)

Carrier-grade: Guaranteed carrier-grade services (utilising licensed spectrum)

Fast time to market: Simple and quick deployment compared to fiber or point-to-point wireless

Cost effective: Saves up to 50 percent total cost of ownership compared to fiber and PTP

    Frequencies: 28GHz LMDS (A1 and A1 / A2 bands), 39GHz

Spectrum: Nationwide availability of wide bands at 39GHz

Proven deployment: Deployed in nine states, including five in New York. Global deployments exist in 45 countries, including for seven of the world’s largest top ten mobile operators

    • Zero indoor footprint

    • Software enabled customer service capabilities for each remote terminal

    • <1ms round-trip latency

    • SyncE 1588

CBNL’s range of antennas provides the flexibility for bespoke capacity/coverage requirements:

    • 30 and 90 degree access point sector antennas

    • 8", 1', 2' and 3' remote terminal antennas

    CBNL RT Antennas

    CBNL RT 8in, 1ft, 2ft and 3ft Antennas

The CBNL 26-28GHz Remote Terminal (RT) antennas are designed for the VectaStar ODU-S and VectaStar 600 remote terminals.

    - Sizes: 8in, 1ft, 2ft and 3ft

    - Antenna type: parabolic dish

    - Range: up to 20km/12.7m

    - Frequency (GHz): 24.50 - 29.50 (including the LMDS frequency band)

    - Polarisations supported: vertical and horizontal

    CBNL AP Antennas

CBNL AP 30 degree and 90 degree Antennas

The CBNL Access Point (AP) sectorized antennas are designed for the VectaStar ODU-S and VectaStar 600 access points.

    - Sizes: 30 and 90 degree

    - Antenna type: sectorized

    - Frequency (GHz): 24.50 - 29.50 (including the LMDS frequency band)

    - Polarisations supported: vertical and horizontal

    Radio Controller

    CBNL Radio Controller

The VectaStar Radio Controller (RC) is an optional indoor unit which adds sector aggregation and redundancy for access points within a VectaStar network.

The RC is a flexible, high capacity platform incorporating programmable high speed logic allowing software upgradability for future performance enhancements and support of current and new network standards.

The RC supports up to eight APs and can aggregate traffic from up to 240 Remote Terminals, at one hub, onto one or more interfaces connected to the core network.

Two SFP+ 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GE) ports are also provided for core network interconnection since the total aggregate rate from a full set of sectors may exceed 1Gb/s.
