Pre-requisite assumptions: This course is designed for those technical professionals who have a working familiarity with the following technologies and product types:
- LAN – Layers 1, 2 and 3
- Internet
- Wireless LAN
- LAN and WLAN security – RADIUS, 802.1x, AAA, WEP, WPA, etc
- VLAN
- VPN
- Hubs, Switches, Routers
- WiFi PC Client
Description: This course is designed to meet the need of those technical professionals listed above and with similar responsibilities. While assuming a strong working knowledge of LAN and WLAN topics, this course adequately covers some basic technology and industry standards. The course covers specific product related topics such as the follow:
- Colubris products, MAP 320/330 and MSC 3200,3300,5200,5500, wireless network design and best practices concepts
- Basic installation considerations and setup
- Configuration and deployment in a variety of WLAN scenarios
- The use and uses of the primary Colubris product features as applied to a variety of network designs
- Layer 2 and Layer 3 Mobility
- Network management and maintenance using Colubris Multi-Service Access Points and Multi-Service Access Controllers
The topics and depth of instruction are specifically designed to provide adequate preparation for the Colubris Certification Practicum that leads to the coveted CCIP (Colubris Certified Individual Professional) status
Availability: This instructor led, combined lecture and lab format course is available in regularly scheduled classes in Colubris National regions and as On-site, dedicated classes. The regularly scheduled classes are open to Colubris operational and reselling Partners, Distributors and Colubris End-Users. A cancellation policy exists.
