ACTi Video Servers and Transcoders

ACTi video servers are network-attached servers for video, that can be connected to computer networks. A video server can deliver live video, automatically or on request, to a browser or other professional security applications. Security systems have traditionally been based on analog CCTV (closed-circuit television) technology. Video servers digitize analog video sources and distribute digital video over an IP network ??turning analog cameras into IP cameras. A video server can also be connected via a modem for access over a phone or ISDN line.

The SED-3300/SED-3320 is a high resolution, Ethernet (LAN and WAN) ready digital video transcoder with bi-directional audio supported(SED-3320). Via an Ethernet network such as LAN or WAN, the SED-3300/SED-3320 takes a MPEG-4 stream from a specific ACTi IP camera or video server, and converts it in real-time with high quality analog video signals and audio signals. This allows analog video devices such as TV system, analog monitors or existing analog video switches to be connected to an ACTi IP-base video system.
