Groupe SAGEM is an internationally-based high-technology group which enjoyed consolidated sales of EUR 3.180 billion in 2003 and an operating income of €M 168.5. The second largest French group in the field of telecommunications and the third largest European company in electronics for defence and security, SAGEM maintains a presence in more than twenty countries.
SAGEM SA is a limited company with an Executive Board and a Supervisory Board. The Executive Board is chaired by Grйgoire OLIVIER and the Supervisory Board by Mario COLAIACOVO.
The buy-out of the firm by its personnel in 1985 consolidated an already established system of employee share-ownership. The merger of the COFICEM holding company and of SAGEM INTERNATIONAL (SAGEM's 100% controlled subsidiary) with SAGEM SA in 2003 aimed to simplify the Group's structures, to maintain employees' independence and corporate culture, to reinforce SAGEM's entrepreneurship and team spirit and to enhance the company's market value outlook.
The shares of SAGEM SA are listed on the Paris Stock Exchange (reference ISIN FR 0000073272). SAGEM stock also forms part of the Euronext 100, the SBF 120, the IT CAC 50 and the DJ Stoxx.
