The InReach 200 offers a range of software configurable features. The radio supports all 2.4 GHz or 5GHz channels available within each supported regulatory domain. It can be configured to operate as an access point, wireless distribution system (WDS) bridge or a full-spectrum 802.11 WLAN monitor. The InReach 200 is the only entry-level product available to offer this level of flexibility and functionality, without compromising WLAN performance.
The InReach 200 features Colubris Virtual Service Community (VSC) capability which enables a single access point to offer two separate WLAN services over a single, centrally managed WLAN infrastructure. Each VSC can be configured to enforce a different security profile, and traffic is segmented and mapped to separate VLANs.
Service providers can use VSCs to deliver separately "branded" public Internet access services through a single infrastructure. Enterprises use VSCs to segment different WLAN applications or user groups, such as guest and employee network access applications. VSCs also facilitate smooth migration from WEP security to WPA and 802.11i (WPA2).
The InReach 200 is capable of full spectrum scanning across all channels when deployed as a dedicated probe. In addition to rogue AP scanning, the InReach 200 monitors the RF spectrum for noise and co-channel interference that may negatively impact client performance and reports all status to the InCharge™ Colubris Network Management System (CNMS).
Designed for low cost operation, the InReach 200 includes comprehensive remote management capabilities. An intuitive web UI and a command line interface simplify configuration. Rich diagnostic tools ease network troubleshooting. All management interfaces are protected with SSL, SSH or IPSec security.
The InReach 200 is centrally managed by InCharge™ Colubris Network Management System (CNMS), an advanced WLAN management platform that provides automatic discovery and configuration of Colubris WLAN infrastructure and powerful automated operations and software maintenance tools.
