With a real-time view of all WLAN traffic, the Motorola AirDefense Network Assurance Suite enables IT administrators to quickly identify and respond to issues and mis-configurations, proactively monitor the network's availability, and remotely troubleshoot RF problems. The suite includes sophisticated real-time tools to remotely capture and analyze 802.11 frames, detect and classify non-802.11 sources of interference, monitor performance policy violations and remotely debug client and AP connectivity issues. Also included is the industry's first and only toolset to perform expert analysis of wireless connectivity issues and perform end-to end network testing from the wireless perspective, remotely. Once a problem or issue is identified network administrators have two types of tools, real-time and historical, which allow them to appropriately diagnose and remediate the problem. This suite of tools will significantly reduce network helpdesk costs and operational expenditures related to the wireless network by practically eliminating the need to travel onsite to troubleshoot wireless network issues.

The Network Assurance Solution is comprised of the Motorola AirDefense Advanced Troubleshooting Module, the Motorola AirDefense Spectrum Analysis Module, the Motorola AirDefense LiveRF Module, and the Motorola AirDefense Advanced Forensics Module.

Advanced Troubleshooting Module

The industry's first and only toolset to perform expert analysis of wireless connectivity issues and perform end-to-end network testing from the wireless perspective. This module allows administrators to perform both client connectivity troubleshooting and access point connectivity testing across the entire WLAN, remotely.

Spectrum Analysis Module

The industry's first software only solution that can remotely view the physical layer of an enterprise WLAN using distributed sensors (without requiring specialized hardware). With the spectrum analysis tool, network administrators can identify and classify possible sources of interference in the 2.4 and 5 GHz WLAN frequency bands.

The Advanced Forensics Module

Provides administrators the ability to rewind and review detailed records of wireless activity. It allows organizations to view events months later to improve network security posture, assist in forensic investigations and ensure policy compliance.

The LiveRF Module

Provides the industry's only real-time assessment of wireless network performance. With LiveRF, administrators can troubleshoot wireless connectivity, throughput, capacity and interference issues from a central console without having to send administrators out to remote locations.
