WHEAT RIDGE, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 2, 2003--ARC Wireless Solutions, Inc.
(OTCBB:ARCS - News)
announced today that its Wireless Communications Products Division has been
chosen by Netro Corporation as the primary supplier of its 3.5 GHz panel antenna
for Netro's Angel product line.
The product design combines both the technology acquired by ARC Wireless from
Ball Aerospace and Technology Corporation in August 2001 and ARC's legacy panel
antenna design and manufacturing capabilities.
Netro Corporation is a leading provider of fixed broadband wireless systems
used by telecommunications service providers to deliver voice and high-speed
data services for access and mobile infrastructure applications to customers
worldwide. In February 2002, Netro completed the acquisition of AT&T
Wireless' fixed wireless development team, a license to intellectual property,
equipment, and proprietary software assets. The technology was originally
developed under the code name "Angel."
Netro offers a broad range of low and high frequency products for business
and residential, access and mobile infrastructure needs, with a wide set of
licensed frequencies for point-to-multipoint: 1.9 GHz to 39 GHz.
"ARC's antenna technology used in this product will offer Netro
Corporation one of the most efficient and reliable antenna products on the
market today," stated Steven C. Olson, Chief Technology Officer for ARC
Wireless. "Our engineering team at ARC is proud to be part of Netro's
worldwide deployment of their Angel system."
