ARC Wireless Solutions' Subsidiary Winncom Technologies Working With Republic Of Uzbekistan To Take Lead in Wireless Buildout

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 10, 2002--ARC Wireless Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB:ARCS - News) announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Winncom Technologies Corp., has signed a Memorandum Of Understanding with the Uzbek Agency of Post and Telecommunications for the purpose of projects development and equipment supply by Winncom for communication projects for the postal and telecommunications sectors of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Based on the mutual statements of bilateral cooperation between the U.S. and Uzbekistan, together with the U.S. Government's statements of support of economic reforms in Uzbekistan, the Memorandum Of Understanding expresses the mutual intent of Winncom Technologies and Uzbekistan to focus their joint activities on several infrastructure enhancements, including, but not limited to, (a) building a high-speed digital data transfer in the capital city of Tashkent in order to assist in the rapid development of wireless business infrastructure of the city and the republic as a whole; (b) developing the internal Internet and Intranet resources in the Republic, including the build-out of a large Internet web hosting center in Tashkent; (c) the development of a new cellular network, based on the CDMA-450 standard, the first of its kind in the Republic of Uzbekistan; and (d) developing a voice and data communications infrastructure, including Internet access, to remotely populated areas across the country using wireless and Voice-over-IP technologies provided by Winncom. Winncom also has agreed to cooperate actively in providing educational seminars, training courses and consultation as well as assisting in the development of a wireless training center in Tashkent for IT specialists.
