Arc Wireless Solutions Introduces New Panel Antenna for 802.11A ``Middle
Band''
|
WHEAT RIDGE, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 3, 2002--ARC Wireless Solutions,
Inc. (OTC BB: ARCS) announced today that its ARC Wireless Communications
Products Division has completed the design and initial production of its
5.25-5.35 GHz Panel Antenna for 802.11a Middle Band wireless systems.
802.11a Middle Band wireless systems are used for high-speed wireless
communications such as Internet, data and voice systems. They can be operated
without a license and also are ideal for industrial process control, including
remote wireless monitoring and recording of virtually any activity such as tank
levels and temperature. The 11dBi five-inch-square antenna, with a depth of less
than one inch, designed and manufactured under the Antennas America(TM) brand,
is linear polarized and comes with an integrated cable and connector for easy
installation. The use of this antenna significantly extends the range of the
wireless system, while eliminating the need for an expensive adapter cable, by
allowing the antenna to be connected directly to the 802.11a wireless systems.
"Our new antenna was specifically designed to increase the range of
5.25-5.35 GHz 802.11a wireless systems up to 300% and is competitively
priced," stated Burton J. Calloway, Executive Vice President of ARC
Wireless Communications Products Division. "This antenna, combined with our
other 802.11 products, further demonstrates our solutions capability in the
wireless marketplace."
