These optional foundation kits act as a 'template' and enable the concrete base to be poured without having to attach the bottom 8 ft tower section. This accessory has diagonal bracing tying the 3 legs together. As a result, you can set the 4' SHORT FOUNDATION SECTION in the excavated hole, make sure it's level and then proceed to pouring the concrete. Reinforcing steel bars still required as per our normal soil foundation drawing which shows the standard stub legs.
The big benefit of this item is that someone can go ahead and pour their concrete base in advance of receiving the tower. It's also easier to work with versus attaching a big 8' section to individual anchor stub legs (our standard installation method). If customers are willing to pay a bit more, they can take advantage of this item. It is important to note that the standard set of 3 anchor stub legs always ship with every complete tower. If a 4' SHORT FOUNDATION KIT is purchased, the customer simply discards the standard anchor stub legs. A note on price: although customers may ask the question, Trylon TSF and its Distributors will not sell the foundation kit at a lower price even if the customer requests a substitute for stub legs.
