High Performance antennas are formed of aluminum, which is spun to precise tolerances. Then a shroud is also fabricated of aluminum and fitted with a planar radome to protect the feed and provide for a significant reduction in side lobes. Often manufacturers will utilize absorber material to improve the pattern performance of the side lobes and front-to-back ratio. |
