The EX-2.4i-16 is the only 2.4GHz digital microwave radio with software expandability from 4 to 16 T1/E1 plus 100BaseT. The EX-2.4i-16 is a carrier class system with minimal latency, high spectral efficiency, security, and unprecedented spectrum management flexibility for the 2.4GHz ISM band.
The EX-2.4i-16 delivers maximum TDM capacity and IP functionality in one compact 1.5 RU package for the most demanding backhaul applications.
Exalt’s breakthrough spectrum-management technology provides up to 8 non-overlapping frequency channels, with 1 MHz fine tuning capability. This results in as many as 62 center frequencies of operation to choose from without new hardware or system re-tuning. As an additional interference countermeasure, the EX-2.4i-16 provides 8, 16, and 32 MHz channel bandwidths and synchronization to help maximize band usability and throughput. And, to support TDM to IP service migration strategies, the EX-2.4i-16 provides a smooth upgrade path to higher T1/E1 capacities and Ethernet services.
The system provides software expandability from 4 to 16 T1/E1 and a smooth upgrade path to higher capacity Ethernet services. TDM capacity may be convenienty expanded in groups of four ports via firmware option.
All this, while providing the lowest cost per megabit-mile in the market today!
