The ORiNOCO AP-4900MR-LR-12V is a tri-mode, high capacity, high power, dual radio outdoor mesh access point for public safety applications with a 12V DC power input interface. Providing double the capacity of single-mesh radios, the dual radio architecture separates mesh backbone traffic from the edge access traffic. ORiNOCO Mesh Creation Protocol (OMCP) enables mesh backhaul on the 4.9 GHz radio and the 2.4 GHz GHz radio is used exclusively for Wi-Fi coverage. It supports standard security features such as IEEE 802.11i and AES encryption and includes additional security features to prevent attacks.

The AP-4900MR-LR-12V is designed to provide scalable, flexible and a simple deployment for applications requiring a 12V DC power input, e.g., a police vehicle. The unit includes two N-male connectors for external antenna options.

  • Double the capacity of single-mesh radios, the dual radio architecture supports mesh backhaul with a 4.9 GHz radio for public safety and Wi-Fi coverage with a 2.4 GHz radio
  • Self-forming and self-healing ORiNOCO Mesh Creation Protocol automatically routes traffic through best available path as AP4900MR-LR radios are added or removed from network
  • Industry leading throughput with 802.11b/g and 802.11a simultaneous operation
  • WMM/802.11e Quality of Service support for voice, video and data
  • Secure management interfaces include SNMPv3, SSL and SSH
  • Operating Temperature Range -35°C to +60°C
  • Higher output power for extended range
